OrganoTex® Spray-On Textile Waterproofing
Applications:
Waterproofing spray for enhancing water resistance on sport/outdoor clothing in polyester, polyamide, cotton, wool, or blends. Compatible with all garment membranes, such as SympaTex® or Gore-Tex®, and preserves breathability, color, and texture of fabric.
Sustainability:
Eco-friendly product based on natural chemistry, free from fluorocarbons (PFC/PFAS), fossil-based polymers, and synthetic waxes. Biobased and biodegradable according to OECD 301F standards.
Contents:
Comprised of water, natural fatty acids, and surfactants.
Additional Information:
Coverage is adequate for 4 garments or 10 sqm of textile.
Shelf life of 12 months once the packaging is opened.
Store in a frost-free location away from children.
Packaging is recyclable as plastic (rPET bottle).
Re-Waterproofing Indicator:
Re-waterproof when water stops beading on the outer fabric of raincoats, shell jackets, or other outdoor gear, indicating the wash-out of the original DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatment. Without reproofing, outer fabric wetness can reduce breathability by ~70%, making garments feel colder and heavier, leading to internal dampness. Regular washing and reproofing preserve garment functionality and longevity.
1. Wash and rinse the garment without using any fabric softener. Allow it to dry completely.
2. Lay the dry garment on a surface that is well-protected. From a distance of 20 cm, evenly spray the garment. If there are any dry spots after 1 minute, spray those areas again.
3. Use a dry cloth or sponge to remove any excess product, ensuring that no residue is left on the fabric.
4. For the product to fully absorb into the fabric, either tumble dry, use a drying cabinet, or apply heat of at least 50 °C. Make sure to follow the garment's care instructions while doing so.
